Melbourne drama series 'Flunk' releases fifth season

Lilydale Films has released the much anticipated fifth season of the hit teen LGBTQIA+ drama series, Flunk. Starring Australian newcomers Madelyn Sheahan, Holly Monks, Emily Mutimer and Olivia Wright the series is produced by Melanie Rowland, and written/directed by Ric Forster (Lifespam, The Sleepover).

Flunk Season 5 – As Heidi, Saffron, Ruby and Astrid approach the end of high school, a huge question mark hangs over their future. It’s the summer before forever. Will they find a way to stay in each other’s lives, or is this goodbye?

This season features picturesque Victorian landscapes including the coastal foreshores of the Mornington Peninsula and lush parklands in the Yarra Ranges.

Producer Melanie Rowland comments “This season brings to a conclusion the storylines of some of our most beloved characters, including the fan favourite couple Heidi and Saffron. Having been together for three seasons and 2 feature films it was incredibly important that we gave these characters an amazing send-off that will be remembered by fans for years to come.”

The series is available to watch on Vimeo OnDemand and YouTube today. To date Flunk has clocked up over 190 million views on YouTube, streamed on Peacock, Tubi, Amazon and Plex and broadcast in the USA, Europe, South Africa and Australia.
