28/2/25

Lilydale Films is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of Season 7 of its beloved YA drama series, “Flunk.” This heart-warming and relatable season, co-written by Ric Forster, Philippa Whishaw, and Rhian Wilson, promises to delve deeper into the lives of our favourite characters as they navigate the complexities of teenage love and ambition.

Shot in picturesque locations across the Yarra Ranges Shire and City of Maroondah, Victoria, Season 7 follows Kerri (Keira O’Connor) as she sets out to support her girlfriend Beth’s (Harriette St Ledger) dream of starring in the school play. But when their personal lives and theatrical ambitions clash, will their relationship survive the spotlight?

“Fans have truly connected with the blossoming romance between Kerri and Beth,” says director Ric Forster. “This season, we’re excited to give them centre stage as they explore the challenges and joys of navigating their relationship within the pressure cooker of a school production.”

“We’re incredibly grateful to Screen Australia and VicScreen for their continued support,” adds producer Melanie Rowland. “Season 7 is filled with humour, heart, and a dash of backstage drama. We can’t wait for audiences to see the magic unfold.”

The talented ensemble includes Keira O’Connor, Harriette St Ledger, with Tyneak Hellings, Brad McCarthy, Kai Pollster-Ewing, Brett Whittingham, and Jessica Pascoe rounding out the cast.

Flunk Season 7 is a Lilydale Films Production, with principal production funding from Screen Australia in association with VicScreen. The new season launches online on Friday 28th February, 2025 and will be available to stream on Vimeo OnDemand and YouTube.
