Lilydale Films is proud to announce the release of its latest feature film, “Detention with Daisy.” This unique YA romance takes a fresh approach to the familiar setting of after-school detention.
Directed by Melbourne based filmmaker Ric Forster and produced by Melanie Rowland, “Detention with Daisy” offers a heart-warming and unexpected exploration of young love.
Breaking away from traditional scripting, the film’s talented cast, including Jasmine Hope, Tyneak Hellings, Keira O’Connor, and Harriette St Ledger, utilized improvised dialogue to create a raw and authentic portrayal of a blossoming queer relationships. This innovative approach brings a new level of realism and spontaneity to the story.
As the seventh feature film instalment in the popular “Flunk” universe, “Detention with Daisy” seamlessly blends into the established world while offering a standalone viewing experience.
